More sick puppies...

Okay, can it get any sadder? Poor baby just got over croup and an ear infection and what does she have? Of course, the flu!! Seems that EVERYONE in College Station has it and we were no exception. We tried really hard to keep Ry from getting it, but she spiked a 103 fever today and a quick test at the dr.'s office confirmed--flu. YUCK! Luckily, the version everybody has doesn't have stomach issues, so we're thankful for that at least, but be thinking of us and especially Ryan and hope that Tamiflu kicks in quick for her like it did for us.

One sick puppy...

So Ryan got the croup (AGAIN!) and and ear infection on Friday! Can you believe it? Poor thing seems like she gets everything (twice)! So then yesterday, I wake up feeling under the weather. I went to school anyway, while Chris stayed home with Ryan one more day to be sure her fever was completely gone. Well, I couldn't even make it through the day--went home at 11:30, called Dr. Smith, who gave me Tamiflu--that's right, the stinking flu! It's been all over the local papers that the strains going around were not the ones in the flu shot, so at least I don't feel like it could have been avoided. Also, I haven't been sick to my stomach, so that's a relief. On the otherhand, having a monster headache, fever, and general soreness, etc. stinks! So this morning, Chris brings Ryan to school and then goes to work, only to leave at 9am with the same crap I've got! Luckily, Dr. Smith had called in Tamiflu for him too yesterday!! I have to say, I'm ready for us all to be well again! : (

Sadie Hawkins

At our school every year in February, the kids have a "Sadie Hawkins" dance. You know, the kind where the girls ask the boys? Well, each year the kids have made Sadie their own--the couple wears the same thing (like on purpose, they'll buy two matching shirts and wear them, or make t-shirts for Sadie--its a very informal dance). This year, our associate principal decided it would be a "great idea" for the adminstration to wear matching shirts. Since I'm LOVING using photoshop right now (and didn't want to end up with something, well, ugly), I offered to help design the shirts. Here's what we decided on....pretty cute since our principal's last name is "Fox"--he'd better wear his too......
